Southern Silver Exploration is a precious/base metal exploration company based in Vancouver, Canada and a member of the Manex Resource Group. The company’s growth strategy is to acquire, explore and develop high-quality properties in progressive jurisdictions within North America.

Mexico

Southern Silver’s newly acquired silver-lead-zinc property Cerro Las Minitas is located in Durango State, Mexico. At over 109 square kilometers in size, the project features a large land position within the prolific Faja de Plata (Belt of Silver) of northern Mexico, with historic production and resources of over three billion ounces of silver and additional potential for future “world class” discoveries. The Company has completed an airborne magnetic survey and a ground based IP survey. A 3,000 metre Phase I drilling program began in early March of 2011.

The Minas de Ameca project encompasses a 131 sq. km claim package in a 25 kilometre long mineralized trend in Jalisco State, Mexico. Minas de Ameca represents an outstanding high-grade copper/gold/silver exploration opportunity that is located along the western margin of the Sierra Madre Occidental terrane. The company has focused on the San Luis vein system and completed a 4,832m of drilling. Additional targets for a diamond drill program on San Luis have been selected.

USA

In Arizona the company’s Dragoon project is a contiguous block of 12.8 sq. km that contains areas of exposed copper and molybdenum mineralization. Exploration on the Dragoon property is targeting a deeply buried porphyry Cu-Mo system of potentially similar size and grade as the Resolution deposit, a world-class porphyry Cu-Mo system. The company has signed an earn-in agreement with Freeport McMoran Exploration Corporation (FMEC). 

The 6.9 sq. km Oro Project covers the majority of the historic Eureka Mining District in Grant County, New Mexico. The company has identified multiple prospective drill targets throughout a 2 kilometre long mineralized corridor largely untested by modern exploration. Oro is a gold, silver and base metal project with excellent potential for discovery.
